Another Rivers Ripple

When last we posted, it was August and we had just returned from vacation and began to tackle potty training.
Since then, the fall has flown by.  Olivia and Sarah continue to enjoy days home together.  We fill our time playing, reading, creating arts and crafts, attending playgroup and library storytime, running errands, going to the Y, and generally having a good time.  We've had OB appointments more frequently so that's been an added task on the list.  Sarah is now at 36 weeks (and dilated to a 4 as of today!)--the crunch for accomplishing things before baby arrives began at the end of October with the realization that Olivia's birthday and Thanksgiving were only weeks away.  Since then, we've been working hard to get things accomplished.  Some days are more productive than others.
We've transitioned the computer room to a playroom/library, which seems like it will work out well.  Olivia continues in her toddler bed because when we went to set up her twin bed, the headboard was missing!  Now we are waiting for it to ship.  Hopefully soon.  Otherwise she may end up on the floor on her mattresses for a bit of time for Sarah's sanity.  The basement is now our entertainment area/music man cave.  Dan has his basses hung and we are able to watch TV when time allows.
Dan works hard daily at KWCH-12, you can see a lot of his hard work in the presentation of the KWCH website and in his iphone app for CatchItKansas.  Bayless Band is officially done in Kansas--the main people moved, so Dan just has church band right now.
Sarah has been busy teaching 2 and 3 year old Sunday School and has Olivia in her class now.  It's a fun adventure most weeks!  (For a fun picture: the first week Olivia joined our class we had 2 separate potty breaks that involved everyone...)  Besides what was mentioned above, Sarah has continued with one Saturday a month at ViaChristi and plans to return there in April as this past Saturday was her last day to work until after new baby.
Olivia has been successful with potty training--we are down to an accident every week and a half or so, which is usually the result of being in the wrong place and the wrong time (car, Y parking lot, church potluck).  Wa-hoo!  For those who might be around to help her, potty break sounds a lot like "patty cake".  Beware.  Olivia celebrated her 2nd birthday and enjoyed the cake, candles, singing, and presents that came with it.  It was fun to watch her enjoy opening her gifts and her eyes lighting up when people sang to her.  Her favorite activities include playing babies, dressing up, and tea/fruit party.  She's also been into painting lately--this usually involves whole-hand finger painting, even when given a brush.
Brisco has good and bad allergy days, but we are going to try some probiotics and resume fish oil to see if that helps.  He's now on grain free food permanently as his salmon food was affecting him.
My apologies for a late post and for no pictures.  I had most of this post typed, and went to add pictures only to have google say I was out of space.  Now I can't seem to figure out how to get my picasa album working.  Grump.  But, know that we are all doing well.  We anxiously await new baby's arrival and hope to have a little person to introduce to you all before Christmas.  You can keep up with our latest adventures and Olivia's antics at: theriverscurrent.blogspot.com
